New Release of "Charon Wormhole", Full Game Releases Tomorrow!


In preparation for tomorrow's launch of Welcome Aboard, Captain, I've updated the document for Charon Wormhole.  Changes are cosmetic, fixing a few typos and awkward phrasings I noticed.

Tomorrow on Father's Day, Welcome Aboard, Captain – the full game – releases!  I am so excited to finally get this into people's hands to play.  It's a design I've been working on for years, pushing through false starts and design dead-ends until I finally hit on the approach that works the way I hoped.

I am particularly happy with the procedural mission generator.  The way it places your command decisions in the driver's seat and reacts to them, how flexible the system is to allow you to be shrewd and clever with your approaches, how it throws curveballs at you but still generates coherent and compelling stories, etc.  I'm just really satisfied with how it turned out, and I hope players will enjoy it as well.

The game uses my "2x2" system that was pioneered in Fable on your Table and repurposed for Dungeon Hero, and this is the next evolution of that system.  If you enjoyed those other games, you should feel very comfortable with the mechanics of this game.
