So you played through Dungeon Hero Volume One, Volume Two: Giant Beasts, and Volume Three: Bump in the Night, and you still want more?!
Okay, adventurer. Here's four new adventures to print out, fold up, and get questing against!
Volume Four of Dungeon Hero features three all-new adventures inspired by some well-loved-but-campy sci-fi plots:
- In Invasion of the Corpse Snatchers, something strange is going on in the little village of Gemini Falls. People don't seem to be themselves, and they've all taken up a curious affinity for horticulture.
- In Hazardous Harlequins of the Jester Dimension, a performance troupe of harlequins, troubadours, jesters, and clowns come to town. But the big circus tent they're luring people to hides a sinister secret.
- In Excursion to Rampart Tor, a strange ship that flies through the air crashes into a mountainside. Is this the day of danger that ancient prophecies foretold, where dangerous visitors from a far-off land would come suddenly to our kingdom?
Bonus Adventure! Match the suggested donation and also gain access to the bonus adventure:
- In The Ravening Ooze, a meteorite lands in the valley near a small village, and a strange, dangerous organism leaks out. Now you're trapped in the valley as a snowstorm descends. Can you save the townsfolk before it's too late?
Note: You will need the core rulebook from the Starter Set (Volume One) of Dungeon Hero to play these adventures.
The PDF's come in two formats:
- A Zine format containing printable booklets you can fold into "zines" as shown in the video on the main Dungeon Hero page.
- Standalone versions that you can reference on digital devices or print for a non-folding reference sheet.

Hi there! I thought I was being economical...lol. I paid for all four of the Dungeon Hero volumes with Volume 1 (not individually) with $3 extra. But, I didn't get any of the bonus content...can I get a do-over? Or the bonus content? Thanks!
Hi, IamDandu. Sorry for the confusion, but thanks for reaching out.
I've initiated a refund request with itch.io (they handle all the payment stuff - it's one of the cool things about itch for small indie creators like me!). This is the first time I've had to issue a refund, so I'm not sure what the turnaround time is on that or what to expect, but assuming there aren't any issues, you should get the refund soon and then can go back and buy each of the individual volumes separately to get the bonus content.
Note that you didn't need to pay $15 to get the bonus content – you only need to pay $3 for each one, for a total of $12. I'm of course appreciative of tips on top of that, but if you want all the booklets including the bonus content, it should only set you back $12. Buy each volume individually at $3 (or more) each and you should be good to go.
Again, sorry for the confusion, and I hope you enjoy the game.
Hi! Yes, I didn't really want the refund. I just didn't want to pay for each one individually since it shows a bunch of little transactions in my bank account. But i do want the bonus content so I'll re-buy them after the refund. Thanks for the help and keep up the great work!
Sorry for the inconvenience. I’ve looked into making a bundle but I don’t see a way to carry over the “pay what you want unless you want the bonus content” thing with one, so it kinda has to be individual.
The good news is that as I update each of them, you will be notified and get access to updated content, which you wouldn’t if you only bought the one and I sent you the extra content.
No worries! It was my fault for not reading the details. I went ahead and purchased them again and got the bonus content. I'm completely satisfied. Thank you!!
Awesome. I hope you enjoy the game enough for the trouble to be worth it! 😄
Hey just FYI I got a notification that your refund went through. They said it might take a bit for it to show up on your side, but it looks like it was approved.
Thanks for the update!
I love this Dungeon hero system. Its easy to understand and beginer friendly. My 7yo son is super happy with Castle Charon adventure. Thank you for your amazing work :)
Awesome! Glad your son is enjoying it.
Printed these off and tried to fold them as normal, and the graphics and text: inside the booklet, and cover, aren't lined up properly. They get cut off by the folds.
I don't know if it's my printer, or what. The from cover has more white space between the at and the edge of the paper, compared to the opposite side of the paper, which has less between the edge and the text.
You may have to adjust how you fold the 'zines if you are not printing on 8.5" x 11" paper (like, people across the pond often print A4) or if your particular printer cannot print as close to the margins as expected.
I believe if you're printing centered on A4 and there aren't any margin-rescaling issues, you'll trim 6.25cm off of each end, leaving a center of 27.2 cm or so. But you may have to adjust based on your printer.
Ideally, there should be roughly equal margins on all sides of each "page", which will be determined by the interior margins between pages. Basically, you'll trim the sides of the page until the margins on the "outside" of the content matches up with the margins on the "inside" of the content. You can measure it with a ruler if need be, or you can "eyeball it" by doing some of the folds and hand-cutting matching margins on the outside of the folds.
(Another approach is to just fold the parts of the 'zine until the pages look right and then trim.)
I'll have to tinker around with the printer, hopefully I'll be able to get it fixed quickly. I am in the States, so it usually does 8.5x11 with many issues, but it prob had a setting in there that did something to it to make it come out off. Thanks for taking the time to reply, and I cant wait to play these three.
Im also currently writing the third installment for my Bläkenthorne story, for Dungeon Hero.
Thank you for creating such a fun game!
Honey! New Dungeon hero just dropped!
